From its base in Cologne – the megacity at the heart of Europe – G. Wurm has been selling its products worldwide to various groups of customers for more than half a century. Today e-commerce clients and multichannel suppliers sit alongside the classic retail outlets, having joined the ranks of customers who have come to love and value our philosophy (customer focus, market-leading prices & unbelievable product choice).
With just under 60 fulltime employees and 35 seasonal workers helping out in the company and at the national trade fairs, the enterprise handles an import volume of about 1000 containers per year from the Asian countries. To this day, overseas shipping is still clearly the number one choice for worldwide transportation of goods, carrying around 98% of the total volume. G. Wurm also exploits the economic advantages of those low-cost shipping methods in order to keep a competitive edge.
G. Wurm GmbH + Co. KG has now been operating for more than 58 years as an international wholesale enterprise, export merchant, and importer of modern giftware and home accessories from the Far East. It is always worth visiting the Wurm emporium located in the Rath/Heumar district of Cologne, the city with heart and soul and over a million inhabitants on the river Rhine.
Beside the telesales, exhibitions at over 10 national trade fairs and our beloved catalogs, the B2B shop has edged forward into an important sales channel, in combination to other online activities on B2B platforms.

Based on many years of experience, the company has grown particularly fond of Asia, benefiting not only from excellent business relations with the suppliers but also enjoying the deep friendships which have been formed over the years with the manufacturing companies in the Far East and which brings significant competitive advantages for all those involved in the value-added chain.
Increasing growth rates and ongoing expansion of the customer structure are the result of a permanent series of strategic moves made by the company to adapt to the macroeconomic drivers.
With just under 15,000 m² of warehouse space, the company is able to keep higher-than-average stock levels and is therefore able to respond to demand and deliver at extremely short notice, even at peak times. The company is very well positioned in the B2B sector, with its strong international focus and exports accounting for over 50% of its sales, and a sustainable customer base ranging from small privately owned and managed retail companies right through to large corporate clients.
